Every NASCAR June 2025 Race Ranked
5. The Great American Getaway 400 – For a majority of the race, there was decent racing in the middle of the pack; restarts were the highlight of the race, with everyone battling each other for several laps. Despite all that, this race was another one dictated by clean air. On the last green-flag pit stop, Briscoe and his team accidentally miscalculated how much fuel they should put in the car to make it to the end. The team did not think they had enough fuel to make it. Briscoe restarted with the race lead and managed to save enough fuel to win, despite saving a considerable amount of fuel and having Hamlin and Blaney right on his tail, who were not fuel-saving.
4. Cracker Barrel 400 – What this race did teach us is that NASCAR should continue to race at Nashville under the lights. The first part of the race, when the drivers were racing in the daylight, was some of the least enjoyable racing of the season. The race picked up mightily in the second half once the sun went down and the track conditions cooled off. There was more competitive racing throughout the field, including a great battle late in Stage 2 between Hamlin, Byron, and Blaney. The race did not have a nail-biting conclusion, but it did end on a long green-flag run with green-flag pit stops taking place, which is always nice to see.
3. Viva Mexico 250 – Just like the Chicago Street Race in 2023, the race was impacted by rain, making it a different experience than it would have been. Fortunately, rain is the perfect way for road course races to be on or near the level of 1.5-mile races with this car. Rain always throws a loop in the race as it makes everyone race differently. For much of the race, we saw many passes be made, along with a lot of side-by-side battles. SVG was the dominant driver, but for most of the race, he had Gibbs lurking right with him for the lead. The ending did sour the race a bit, as SVG drove off and won by over 15 seconds, but there were still good battles happening second on back to keep things somewhat engaging.
2. Quaker State 400 – CHASE WINS ATLANTA AGAIN!!! Even without that, this was one of the best races of the season. It cannot be considered the best because most of the good cars were taken out in a HUGE wreck at the start of Stage 2, which initially brought the mood down by quite a bit. Aside from that hick up, the racing was some of the best Superspeedway racing in so long. Atlanta continues to prove why it is the best Superspeedway at this moment. Drivers could make moves on their own without having to rely solely on help, had to let up in the corners, and had to have a good car to stay up at the front. This led to many lead changes, position changes, and an exciting last-lap pass finish.
1. FireKeepers Casino 400 – As of this writing, this race is currently the best of the season. On restarts, we would see some AMAZING racing with drivers taking it two or three-wide and getting massive runs on the straightaways to slingshot past multiple drivers. Even during longer green-flag runs, we still saw some great racing, with many contenders for the lead like Byron, Buescher, Hocevar, and Hamlin. The race had possibly the most intense ending of the season with the leaders, Byron, Hamlin, and Hocevar, trying to make it to the end on fuel. Hocevar had the lead at first, but he had a left-rear tire go down. Byron assumed the lead but was passed by Hamlin in the closing laps, who stretched it enough to make it on fuel and win.
